Summary: Abstract: the starting point of this dissertation is the audiovisual production
of Tupinikim and Guarani indigenous communities from Aracruz-ES, seeking to
analyze the works, authors and conduction of aesthetic and identity production by
young indigenous people, based on ethnographic reflections. We observed the
differences in the filming conditions and aesthetic choices according to several local
proposals.
These proposals approach the relations between the young people involved in the
productions, as well as other agents who participate and are interested in the
indigenous perspective in the audiovisual. Through Prolind-UFES (Indian Degree
Program) I met young people involved in audiovisual productions who set out to build
a record of ancestral memory, festivals, rites and myths. From the descriptions of
identity, we can see the myths evoked in indigenous cinema through the theoretical
horizon, crossed by the concept of Marshall Sahlins' mythopraxis, as the production of
the script of the movie Enorme Gavião do Tupinikim Tiago Kauê.
Keywords: ethnography, audiovisual, myth
